In collaborations with David’s Collection Museum I made an outfit inspired by the many handpainted artpieces and books from within the art collection.
I have found fabrics such as table cloths which i have upcycled by making my own prints on them. Some of the prints are based on handdrawings to mimick the sensation of the hand drawn illustrations from the museum.
Other prints are isnpired by the precise details of the many cohesive patterns found in the artistic decorations as ceramic tiles. In my proces I wanted to play with the tension between past and present and therefor experimented with the patterns digitally. The patterns are therefor no longer stringent and geometrical but warped into being organic and more psychadellic.
